Doug Robbins  –  Account Executive

I was born and raised in St. George, SC and graduated from St. George High School in 1959. I attended the University of South Carolina and Newberry College.

I am married and my wife and I have two sons. Robby is an attorney in Summerville and Danny is now working for C. T. Lowndes & Company as a salesperson. I am grateful to have three grandchildren!

I have been in the insurance business for many years and, for the last 20 years, worked for Sentry Insurance Company, specializing in Commercial Insurance and Workers Compensation. I was the top commercial insurance producer in the Southeast from 1991 to 1997 and became territorial manager for Sentry from 1997 to 2007 when I retired.

After “retirement”, I joined C. T. Lowndes & Company as a producer and have thoroughly enjoyed working for this family owned agency, the oldest such business in the Southeast.

I stay involved in the community and am a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in St. George, the Dorchester County Historical Society, Lourie Theatre (in St. George) and the Tri County Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of work, I enjoy a game of golf, fishing, spending time with family, and rooting for the Carolina Gamecocks!
