William Hackett  –  Account Executive

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1982 and moved to Summerville with my parents in 1985.  I graduated from Summerville High School in 2001 and then from the University of South Carolina in 2007with a history major.  I now make my home on Edisto Beach.

After graduation from college, I decided to join my grandfather, Bill Hackett, at C. T. Lowndes & Company.  My grandfather was the Edisto Island office of C. T. Lowndes & Company.  Since joining the agency in 2007, I have come to enjoy the insurance business very much and appreciate being able to work for such a fine insurance agency.  It has been a tough learning curve but I now feel very comfortable talking about insurance with friends and clients.

 I am currently serving on the Town of Edisto Beach Planning Commission and previously served on the Town’s Zoning Board of Appeals.  I am very active in the Edisto Island Ducks Unlimited Chapter and am a member of the Edisto Beach Lions Club.

My outside passion is offshore fishing and I go out as often as possible.  I also enjoy hunting and golfing and am an avid Carolina Gamecock football fan.
