A recent United Nations report stated that, worldwide, 65 million people were displaced from their homes in 2015!
These people fled starvation, danger, or persecution. The number seems staggering – that’s 34,000 people every day!
11.5 million people have been uprooted in Syria alone with 4.9 million moving out of the country.
The population of South Carolina is about 4.6 million so imagine everyone in the state leaving for North Carolina or Georgia!
How lucky we are to live in the Land of the Free.
Count your blessings every day and be thankful that our ancestors fought for and won our freedom.
And thank all those since then who have protected our freedom.
We are fortunate and blessed to be Americans and live in the United States of America.
