The Saturday after Thanksgiving is designated as Small Business Saturday, a reminder to buy locally rather than from the national outfits.

Shopping at your local Mt. Pleasant, Summerville, Walterboro, or Charleston small retail store business helps your friends and neighbors, and the local economy.

And while you are “buying local’, remember your local independent insurance agency can provide all your insurance needs at one stop. Home insurance, car insurance, business insurance, life insurance, health insurance, you name it and your local agent can assist.

Supporting and buying an insurance policy from a local agent like C. T. Lowndes & Company does something else as well. A portion of the dollars you spend on insurance at C. T. Lowndes & Company is given back to the local community in the form of charitable giving.  The agency has supported such local Charleston area causes as the Sertoma High School Football Classic, the Travis Manion Foundation, Friends of the Hunley, East Cooper Meals on Wheels, Camp Rise Above, Colleton County Rice Festival, and many more.

So buy at least one item from a local merchant between now and Christmas. And call your independent insurance agent for your insurance, anytime during the year!
