Protecting your Personal Identity

Some things to think about while you are out doing your holiday shopping.

Ø  Your debit card is your worst enemy. Think about it. If someone steals the card, they have direct access to your bank account!!

Ø  Limit use of checks. Think what you give away when you give a check to the cashier — name address, bank routing number, bank account number and the cashier probably writes your drivers license number and birth date on the check!!

Ø  Using a credit card is safest. The credit card companies have mastered the art of detecting fraud and there is a Federal Law that make the credit card company (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) responsible for any fraudulent transactions.
