Paul Pye's Profile and Contact Information
I was born in Walterboro, SC and graduated from Walterboro High School. I attended Clemson University from 1969-1970 and then returned home to Walterboro.
I was unable to serve in the military, receiving a medical deferment. My father, P. Paul Pye, Sr., did serve in the Army Air Corps in World War II and the recreation room at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro is named in his honor.
I married Fran Stelling and we have two children, Stacie Pye Fulton and Paskel Paul Pye lll and 6 grandchildren.
I thoroughly enjoy community service and I am a member of the Lowcountry Sertoma Club, serve as an IPTAY representative from Colleton County, volunteer as an assistant baseball coach for Colleton County High School, serve as Junior Warden for St. Judes Episcopal Church in Walterboro, and have been a member of Walterboro Elks Lodge since 1971. I am active with the Walterboro Colleton County Chamber of Commerce and am president of the Hyde Park Crime Watch Association.
For fun, I coach baseball, attend college athletic events, play golf, take trips with my granddaughters each year, and walk in the annual Cooper River Bridge Run.
I was elected to the Colleton County High School Baseball Hall of Fame in April of 2015 as one of three inductees in the first class. I was also selected to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Colleton Medical Center in January of 2016.
I started in the insurance business in 1985, working for South Carolina Farm Bureau and advanced to Agency Manager in 1994. In 2001, I decided to join the folks at C. T. Lowndes & Company and have very much enjoyed working for this family owned independent insurance agency.
